Following discussions with several drivers, SPEED will be trialling a separate category for older CN sports prototypes at Silverstone.

These ‘Class B’ cars will be eligible for PIF points and trophies/podium places will be on offer for the top cars in this category.

Eligibility criteria are:
• Car must be at least 4 years old
• Car must have a Honda K20 EP3 engine (the older model engine)

“This is a trial to see whether people really want to race the older cars,” says Oli McCrudden, SPEED organiser. “There are a lot of cars sitting in garages that we need to encourage to race. Owners and drivers of the elder cars have long been asking for this; whether we run the category in SPEED in 2010 will depend on the interest at Silverstone.”
